The digitization of image and archival materials takes approximately two weeks. The digitization of archaeological collections and the object collections of the National Museum of Finland takes a minimum of two months.
In general a service fee is charged for digitization. Additional costs may arise from locating the material, retrieving it, and preparing it for photography, in accordance with the price list.
Copyrights, personal data protection, and the condition of the material to be digitized may affect digitization and the use of digitized files. Our expert will send an order confirmation for approval and payment before we begin digitization.
The digitization of images and object collections is carried out according to the quality guidelines used by the Finnish Heritage Agency, and the digitized file can be printed as a high‑resolution version up to approximately A2 size.
The digitization of documents is generally carried out in accordance with the digitization requirements and guidelines of the National Archives of Finland.
